Vörumerking takes over Sigurplast
From 1 January 2026, Sigurplast, maker of blow-moulded PET and HDPE bottles, is part of Vörumerking.
Vörumerking has taken over the operations of Sigurplast as of 1 January 2026. Sigurplast was founded in 1960 and has specialised in blow-moulded PET and HDPE bottles for decades.
The merger creates a stronger operating base, greater economies of scale and new opportunities for growth. The operation is planned to move into a new, modern production facility.
Vörumerking is BRC certified, and the aim is for Sigurplast to achieve similar certification. All Sigurplast invoices are now issued by Vörumerking, reg. no. 560771-0109. For more information contact Páll Elísson, palli@vorumerking.is.
